In this guide you will learn how to assemble clipped ducting bends. Read more or watch the video.
Assembling clipped ducting bends is similar to fitting any type of clipped ducting. Everything can be clipped together in a modular fashion.
Start with a clip (we offer Express Duct Quick Clips). Stretch it open a couple of times. This will loosen it & make it easier to insert your ducting & bends into.
Seat a ducting piece within the seal of the quick clip. Then take your ducting bend & attach this inside the seal too. In this way you have a piece of ducting & a bend joined together by a sealed clamp. The clamp is then tightened around the pieces in order to create a seal.
Any two pieces of clipped ducting or accessories can be clipped together in this way. For example, if you want to clip two bends to each other, you could.
Once clipped ducting is installed, releasing it is simple. The clamp is released, allowing for the pieces to be taken apart.
We have prepared a video of this which should make the process easier & show how simple it is to fit different items together. This video forms part of a series on clipped ducting so that installers can quickly assemble different pieces within the Express Duct range.
The great thing about Express Duct clipped ducting is that it’s easy to install, it has a smooth internal finish, it can be easily adapted to existing systems, it doesn’t need rivets, screws or welding & it can be quickly dismantled or accessed for cleaning.
