John is Director and Co-founder of Ducting Express, which he launched in 2010 with his business partner, Graham.
Before starting Ducting Express, John spent over 20 years in the construction industry, much of that time working as a main site manager on multi-million-pound projects with demanding deadlines. It was a high-pressure role where projects had to be delivered safely, on time and within budget, often while coordinating multiple trades and stakeholders on busy sites.
That background shaped the way he runs Ducting Express today. John brings a strong focus on health and safety, time management and clear processes, helping the business grow steadily year after year while keeping standards consistently high. He has been instrumental in building a culture where safe working practices and organised operations sit at the heart of how the team works.
This approach has played a key part in Ducting Express being recognised at a national level. In 2025, the company was awarded Workplace Safety Initiative of the Year at the UK Business Awards, which is a reflection of the systems, training and everyday habits John has helped put in place.
Away from work, John enjoys clay pigeon shooting and motorbikes. He likes the focus and control that come with time at the shooting ground, and he’s equally happy out on the road on two wheels. That same attention to detail and calm under pressure shows up in how he leads projects and supports the team.
