Ordered from them twice. Second time I was in a hole as I forgot to put items on the first order. I called them, told them the issue they were very helpful and got the items out within a couple of hours and I had them the next day. So the job could go on.

Our first encounter with this company has not been pleasant. The 25% "discretionary" handling charge is incredibly punitive. We were forced to purchase 10x the amount of ducting pipe we required and when it arrived we immediately could see it was incorrect without even removing from the box so arranged for an immediate return. Ducting Express Services would not budge on insisting the handling charge be applied and were incredibly unhelpful . This will be the last time we will use this firm who have a lot to learn about customer service and how encourage businesses to thrive with understanding and loyalty

The fact you have an online shop yourself, and you also have some bad Google reviews, I’m sure your aware that genuine poor reviews can be damaging to a business, and we fully accept that customers are entitled to share their genuine experiences. We would always try and learn from any mistakes we make; however, we do not accept the use of reviews to apply pressure or attempt to influence outcomes outside of our stated policies. As in YOUR terms and conditions on your website, if customers need to cancel any bookings made to yourselves within 21 days of the date of the cheese making course, no refund is payable, however if you can resell the place, you will provide a full refund less a £20.00 admin fee. Do you feel this is not incredibly punitive to your customers? At no point were you forced to purchase anything from us, you enquired about the product, and whether it could be sent in a shorter length, to which we advised that this is only sold at a 10 meter length, you then purchased this product online with no further input from ourselves. The handling charge itself is not discretionary, it is clearly stated in our returns policy. These terms are in place to ensure fairness and consistency across all customers and transactions. They are clearly displayed prior to purchase and form part of the agreement at the point of sale. A real disappointment with Duting Express.
Having made two orders in the past month, I initially put the first error down to a one-off — as a business ourselves, these things happen. Unfortunately, it now feels like a pattern.
Two orders, both not dispatched. Both required chasing.
Order 1: delayed due to “no vans in the area,” yet nobody took the initiative to contact us. Only after I called were we able to resolve it by splitting the order onto a pallet.
Order 2: again slow, again chased. I even emailed immediately after placing the order and was assured it would be dispatched the same day. Forty-eight hours later, I called to discover it still hadn’t been sent — and customer service had no explanation. No apology, no proactivity.
Poor communication and unreliable service. We’ll be taking future business elsewhere.

The issue was never about your advertised lead times.
The problem was written personal assurances from your team that the orders would be dispatched sooner — and then no proactive communication when that didn’t happen.
We don’t object to standard timeframes.
We object to promises not being honoured and having to chase twice, as it has knock on implications.
Please look into issues raised properly before responding with a generic response. Many thanks.

Good afternoon Rachel. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I have reviewed both of your orders placed with us this year. Your first order was placed on 22nd January and dispatched on 29th January via a next day pallet service, after we spoke and arranged delivery for 30th January. This was within our advertised 3 to 5 working day delivery timeframe. While we understand you had a required date in mind, this was not specified at the time of ordering. Once we were made aware, we acted to ensure delivery met your requested date. Your second order was placed on 18th February and dispatched on 23rd February, again within our stated delivery window. I can see that a request was made internally to dispatch sooner following an email trail, and we apologise that this request was not fulfilled on that occasion. However, the order itself was processed within our standard lead times. For any urgent requirements, we do recommend contacting us prior to or at the time of placing the order so that we can confirm whether an expedited service is available. Where no agreed expedited service is in place, orders are processed within our advertised timeframe. We are sorry that on this occasion our service on both orders did not meet your expectations.
