FAQ

How would I connect a 60 degree bend to another small end (male) fitting?

60 Degree bends have small ends, which we refer to these small ends as ''male'' therefore, you can connect two fittings together by using a female connection piece. By fittings we mean 90 degree bends, 45 degree bends, concentric reducers, T-pieces etc. These two parts would need to be secured together by using self-drill screws and duct sealant. Please see our ''How To'' video - How to connect spiral ducting.

What material is a 60 degree bend fabricated from?

All metal 60 degree bends listed on our shop are made out of galvanised steel. However, we are able to provide this in stainless steel. The most common grades of stainless steel are 304 and 316 grade, and these are made to order. Please contact the team to discuss your requirements further.

How do I fasten the duct work together?

For fastening without the need for any pre-drilled holes, we advise our customers to use self-drill screws. Once you have decided on a method of fastening the duct work together, you'll need a sealant. We would advise using duct sealant, which is a water-based sealant and will provide a permanent seal whilst withstanding a reasonable amount of vibration. You could also use cloth tape or foil duct tape. Please see our ''How To'' video - How to connect spiral ducting.
