Product Description

The 100mm to 80mm duct reducer is used by those who need to either to increase or reduce the diameter of their ducting from 100mm to 80mm. Its main purpose is to act as a duct adapter to either increase or decrease the diameter of a duct system.

A concentric reducer is chosen when the pipework is installed vertically. Concentric reducers are shaped like a cone, with a common centre line. Our concentric reducers are used to fit to spiral ducting and are designed with male fittings that can quickly and easily be connected to the female duct ends.

These reducers are made using lightweight, galvanized steel, which make them extremely durable. Installation is extremely easy and you don’t need any specialized equipment or previous experience. All you need to do is follow a few simple steps. Our video guide shows how simple it is.

In order to use the 100 to 80 duct reducer, if connecting two male ends together you’ll need a female coupler to join the two fittings together.

The main features of our concentric ducting reducers are:

  1. They are used to reduce the size of a duct, allowing for a smooth transition from one size of duct to another
  2. They are made using galvanised steel which is durable, long-lasting, corrosion-resistant & cost-effective. In addition, it is fire resistant & less likely to be damaged by moisture
  3. They are designed with a concentric shape, which allows for a gradual reduction in size and smoother air flow
  4. Air tightness can be increased to class B by wrapping the joints with the TAL, MET or DUCT sealing tape
  5. They are designed to be leak-proof, helping to ensure that air is properly distributed
  6. They are designed to be easy to install and can be used in a variety of applications
  7. They are available in a range of sizes, allowing for flexibility in installation and design

How to Connect a Spiral Duct Using a Ducting reducer

If you want to connect a spiral duct using a ducting reducer, you may require a ducting female male coupler, a drill, some silicone, and tek screws. Start by inserting a bead of silicone in the spiral. Make sure the male coupler is carefully placed in the spiral and attach four tek screws evenly spaced around the ducting. Ensure that the screws have penetrated both the collar and the duct. Apply silicone to the remaining duct and apply four more tek screws. Put the male fitting straight into the spiral and use the female coupler to join two male ends together
