A cut in collar saddle is a type of fitting to create a branched connection at a 45 degree angle into the main ductwork.

How would you install the cut in collar saddle?

Firstly, you would take the cut in collar saddle and line it up to the ductwork where you are wanting to install. You will then draw around the saddle whilst this is in place, then take the saddle off and draw an outline an inch smaller than the first to ensure it doesn't fall back into the ductwork after installation. You then have to take a drill and create a hole, and we would recommend using a jigsaw to cut the opening for the saddle. After this has been completed, you will then use duct sealant to seal around the saddle, and use some self-drilling screws for optimum security.
