A bifurcated flow fan is a specialized type of inline fan where the motor is separated from the airstream chamber. This design allows the fan to handle higher temperatures, and corrosive or hazardous gases which could damage a standard fans motor.
Because the electrical motor does not come into contact with the airstream, as it is in its own separate chamber, this allows some models of the bifurcated fans to operate at temperatures up to 200⁰C. Please ensure you check the datasheet to ensure you are chosing the correct model.
