You would use a flat bar flange to connect to another surface or machinery to reduce resistance.
To bolt to machinery, you would take the flat bar flange and put it over a top hat spigot, which will act as a starting point to then carry the run on in spiral ducting. Please note, if you wanted to put a fitting directly onto the top hat spigot, you would need a female connection piece in between.
Yes, we have express duct flange adapters which has a built in flat bar flange. This'll allow you to carry the run on in express duct.
