What surfaces can a Dektite be used on

Dektites can be used to seal to various surfaces

• Metal
• Plastic
• Fibre Cement Roofs

• Dektites can also be used on wall penetration

Used primarily on metal roofs, however,  Dektites  are highly versatile. Perfectly suited for use on all metal, glass, plastic, and fibre cement roofs, no matter the roof profile,  the flexible base can be dressed to suit almost any profile. Running around the edge of the flashing base is an aluminium strip encased in  the rubber, allowing the flashing to hold it’s grip and provide a secure seal to the roof.

Dektites are capable of flashing almost any penetration.

Will a Dektite create a reliable watertight seal

Yes if installed correctly a Dektite will give you a watertight seal & should last circa 20 years

What is the temperature rating of our Dektites?

Our Dektites come in two different temperature ranges, the black coloured dektites have a temperature rating of -50 to 115°C and the red dektites have a temperature rating of -50 to 200°C.

What is the maximum and minimum roof pitch angle you can install a Dektite?

The minimum roof pitch you can install a Dektite on is 0 ° & the maximum roof pitch angle is 40 °.

The only one that differs is the 350 to 760 The maximum roof pitch angle for this size is 15 °

What diameter ducting do Dektites fit?

This is the same for the black low temperature Dektites & the red High temperature Dektites

Each Dektite will fit various size of ducting, as they have pre marked sizes printed on them, you simply cut to the desired size.

• 5mm to 60mm
• 75mm to 175mm 
• 108mm to 190mm 
• 175mm to 330mm
• 240mm to 503mm 
• 350mm to 760mm

Are Dektites suitable for both new installations and retrofitting existing roofs?

Yes Dektites are suitable for new installations and can be simply installed to existing systems.

 

How do you install Dektites to a metal clad roof sheet?

Dektites are fairly simple to install:

• Firstly cut the Dektight to the required size (Diameter)
• Slide the Dektite over the ducting pipe ensuring it has a tight fit (you can use water as a lubricant to help this slide over the duct
• Apply a neutral cure silicone sealant between the Dektite and the metal roof sheet (Ensuring both are dry before applying the silicone)
• Press and mould the Dektite flashing to fit the contours of the roof sheet (Ensure this is a very snug fit)
• Using self drill screws with rubber washers fix the flashing to the roof sheet ensuring there are no gaps and an adequate bead of silicone is between the to surfaces
