Acoustic insulated aluminium flexible ducting
Diameter: 125mm
Length: 10 Meters
Maximum operating temperature 140°C
Acoustic aluminium flexible ducting 125mm is designed to reduce cross-talk output noise in ducted systems. The 125mm flexible ducting has an inner duct, constructed with 25mm fibreglass insulation, also helps to maintain thermal insulation and which acts as a vapour barrier.
The outer jacket of this acoustic flexible ducting is a spirally produced multi-layer aluminium/polyester laminated fabric which has been reinforced with a fibreglass yarn. This provides an outstanding combination of strength and tear resistance. Easy to connect to either round or oval ducting without special tools for cutting or fixing, the flexible ducting is used extensively within the UK market.
The 125mm diameter aluminium insulated flex is supplied in a standard 10 meter length, compressed to 1.6 meters which come packaged in individual boxes.
Typical uses of our 125mm flexible ducting include:
• Ventilation systems
• Air conditioning systems
Aluminium ducting has a number of benefits. It enables ducting to be flexible as well as allowing for thermal insulation. This aluminium insulated flexible ducting has been developed to minimise heat gain & loss that can come from the difference in temperature between the airflow & the ambient air that surrounds it.
The vapour barrier prevents condensation from forming on the outside of the flexible aluminium ducting that carries air which is at lower temperatures than the surrounding ambient air.
The main benefits of this ducting are:
• Thermic insulation (preventing heat or cold loss)
• Noise reduction
• It is boxed individually
• It is easily connectable with other types of ducting (round or oval)
• No special cutting tools are required
• No special fixing tools are required
• It does not emit toxic gases in the event of a fire
• It has a temperature range of -30°C - +140°C
• It has positive working pressure of up to 3,000 PA
• Maximum air velocity is 30 metres per second
• It can be clamped with a range of clamps including stainless steel clamps, nylon clams & quick release clamps
• It has been specifically designed for the HVAC market

Our acoustic aluminium flexible ducting comes in various diameters, ranging from 80mm to 355mm. This comes as a standard 10 meter length.
The acoustic flexible ducting is constructed with an inner duct of 25mm fibreglass insulation and covered with an outer jacket, which provides excellent noise reduction. The jacket is a spirally produced multi-layer aluminium/polyester laminated fabric reinforced with a fibreglass yarn.
The temperature range of the flexible duct is -30/140°C and the positive working pressure is 3000PA (Max).
Yes, flexible ducting works the same as spiral wound ducting. Therefore, if you are attempting to connect this with a length of spiral duct, you would require a male connection piece, as this has a large end (female) and a jubilee clip to secure together. If you will be connecting a fitting into the flexible ducting, this will slot directly inside and you would use a jubilee clip to secure. Please ensure you select the same diameter as the flexible ducting you intend to use.
For shipping purposes, the acoustic flexible ducting is compressed to 1.6 meters and is boxed accordingly. Once the item is removed from its packaging, you can extend to 10 meters and will be ready for use!
The acoustic flexible ducting is designed for noise reduction in low to medium pressure HVAC/ventilation systems, especially where space is limited or there are obstacles you need to navigate around.
To connect this ducting to express duct you would need a flex adapter. You would then use a jubilee clip to secure the flexible ducting to the express duct flex adapter.
