Our acoustic aluminium flexible ducting comes in various diameters, ranging from 80mm to 355mm. This comes as a standard 10 meter length.
The acoustic flexible ducting is constructed with an inner duct of 25mm fibreglass insulation and covered with an outer jacket, which provides excellent noise reduction. The jacket is a spirally produced multi-layer aluminium/polyester laminated fabric reinforced with a fibreglass yarn.
The temperature range of the flexible duct is -30/140°C and the positive working pressure is 3000PA (Max).
Yes, flexible ducting works the same as spiral wound ducting. Therefore, if you are attempting to connect this with a length of spiral duct, you would require a male connection piece, as this has a large end (female) and a jubilee clip to secure together. If you will be connecting a fitting into the flexible ducting, this will slot directly inside and you would use a jubilee clip to secure. Please ensure you select the same diameter as the flexible ducting you intend to use.
For shipping purposes, the acoustic flexible ducting is compressed to 1.6 meters and is boxed accordingly. Once the item is removed from its packaging, you can extend to 10 meters and will be ready for use!
The acoustic flexible ducting is designed for noise reduction in low to medium pressure HVAC/ventilation systems, especially where space is limited or there are obstacles you need to navigate around.
To connect this ducting to express duct you would need a flex adapter. You would then use a jubilee clip to secure the flexible ducting to the express duct flex adapter.
