A Blast Gate Damper Spiral & Flex Adapter is a pre made section of ducting with the blast gate damper slot hole pre cut. This negates the need to cut the damper slot directly in to spiral ducting. Anyone who has installed blast gate dampers directly in to spiral ducting would know it’s a very time consuming process and can be quite awkward. With our Blast Gate Damper Spiral & Flex Adapter they take seconds to install!
No the Blast Gate Dampers are sold separately, see link to our Blast Gate Dampers. Please ensure you select the correct size Blast Gate Dampers to fit your Blast Gate Damper Spiral & Flex Adapter.
The Blast Gate Damper Spiral & Flex Adapter have small ends, which we refer to these small ends as ''male''. Spiral ducting is big end, which we refer to these as ''female''. The Blast Gate Damper Spiral & Flex Adapter will fit inside the spiral ducting, you can then secure the two together with self-drill screws. Once you have secured these together, you'll need a duct sealant. We would advise using duct sealant, which is a water-based sealant and will provide a permanent seal whilst withstanding a reasonable amount of vibration.
Please see our video, How to Install a Blast Gate Damper in to spiral ducting. This will provide all the guidance you require to install into spiral ducting.
